twitter url shows twice from widget

  • Hi,

    Would you kindly tell me why when clicking on the twitter icon widget the url shows up twice and this does not allow it to go to my twitter account.

    This is what I get https://twitter.com/https://twitter.com/casinobonuschip

    Facebook and Google Plus work perfectly, but twitter is some how not working correctly. Is there a fix for this?

    For me the url on your twitter icon is correct.

    Have you resolved the problem?

    SORRY THANKS FOR THE REPLY. NO I COOULD NOT RESOLVE IT AND HAD TO REVERT BACK TO ANOTHER THEME ?? NOT TOO HAPPY.

    When I looked at your site it was running Suffusion and the url was correct.

    I am sure it can be resolved if you want to have another go on the support forum but bearing in mind what I said above you may have resolved it before reverting.

    THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR RESPONDING. Please note that when you checked, it was under another theme that I had reverted back to and did not like it, so I dicided to give Suffion another try. Please, can you fix my twitter icon issue. It still gives me the double url and I don’t know why its doing that.

    I suspect that you have put the full url in the Follow Me widget config box when you should just be putting in your Twitter account name. The widget adds the https://twitter.com/ so you should NOT.

    Yes thank you that worked. I thought it was the same as FB and Google+ where I had to add the full url, but I was wrong.

    BTW, that is one of the reasons I went back to Suffusion because, not only does the theme have numerous features, but the response and support you provide is well above and beyond most developers.
