I am using a modified version of quark theme on a website. The twitter/vine embeds are not working properly, even if I put them in a post by themselves. Youtube and soundcloud work fine. I did a test post on a different website that doesn’t use a quark theme base, and the twitter and vine embed worked fine. The url is on it’s own line like it’s supposed to be, and there’s no white space on either side of the url. When I look at the source, it looks like it’s starting to embed but it’s being broken.

In the middle of the first post where it says “1st part of this sweet family session as planned ” is supposed to be a tweet with a vine video embedded.

I tried it on two other sites using the quark theme as a base, one it worked on, one it did not. The one that it worked on is a newer install, does anyone know if quark would have updated to fix this?

The only major modifications I can think of that I made to the function file were to add a new social media icon for vine, and adding additional sidebar areas.
    ??
Has anyone else had a problem?

As an update, I tried using the default quark theme to see if that fixed the issue, it did not. I also tried turning plugins off one at a time, that didn’t work either.

Twitter embeds should work fine. I just tried it using the latest version of Quark and didn’t have any issues.

Vine isn’t actually supported yet though, as a standard WordPress oEmbed. You can see a list of supported services here:-

If you want to embed Vines, then Twitter has released a WordPress plugin that provides this functionality. You can read more about that here:-
