I installed a second WordPress blog on my website, using one database. My original blog has the table prefix “one_” and the second blog has a different table prefix.

This means that everything in the database is ok, set-up properly, and the two blogs will operate independently, right??

I’m a little nervous about installing the second, and just want to be sure I don’t create a mess ??

    Thank you!!

  • You got it right.

That is correct ?? So long as your prefix is different between blogs, you can have many on one DB.

Yippee!!!! Thank you guys so much!!!!!

Hi Chuckzwood (or anybody else), could you tell me how to install two blogs in one database?
I don’t quite understand the prefixes- how does that work?
    Thanks.

Hi, I’m a novice, having just started last week. But, I had a pretty nice webpage set up using WordPress. Then I decided to start a second database for another site I have (which is a subdirectory of my main page).

Well I created a new database in the same directory as the first. Then I tried to access my webpage and it no longer worked. So, I deleted the new database. It still does not work. Any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Glenn
