Two Clicks to View Doc

  • Content Views is working great with one exception – When I click on an item in frontend it brings me to a second page where basically the same title and TN are displayed. Clicking on this item opens doc for full display. How do I eliminate this intermediate step? Confusing to users as they thing the TN is all they get.

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Your link is not accessible so I don’t know how it works.

    Are you embedding the doc to a post?
    If so, by default it will open the post link, then the post contains the doc link.

    It is possible to skip the post link (to use the doc link) using custom code, that is available with Content Views Pro version.

    If not, might you include screenshot of the second page (where basically the same title and TN are displayed) ?

    Ok, I admin a public site where I also use CV so I setup a demo there.

    Go to nwcsa.org – Facilities – Test

    Page ‘Test’ displays thumbnail of a pdf because it is in category specifies in CV taxonomy.

    When I click TN I want pdf to open in pdf viewer. Instead it goes to a second page and I need to click it there to open and view.

    I confirm that it is possible to skip the post link (to use the PDF link) using custom code, that is available to our Pro users.
