I send out a monthly email newsletter with MailPoet. In one section of the newsletter, I use two columns–the first column will have a photo, and the second column next to it will have a description of the photo. I would like to interchange the columns; in other words, vary the photos from column 1 to column 2, and vary the descriptions from column 2 to column 1. This seems to work well when viewed on a desktop, but when viewed on a mobile device, it appears confusing as to which photo goes with which description. Is there a trick to doing this so that it appears correctly on a mobile device? Or must I stick to the more boring look of all photos in one column and all descriptions in the other column?

    Thank you for your advice.

    Hello there @julie2009 ,

When it comes to displaying columns on mobile devices, the layout is typically adjusted to ensure optimal readability and user experience. Mobile devices have limited screen width, so displaying multiple columns side by side can become difficult to read or comprehend. To address this, MailPoet and many other email service providers stack the columns when viewed on mobile devices.

Unfortunately, at this time, there is no built-in functionality in MailPoet to interchange the columns specifically for mobile devices. This stacking behavior is intended to provide a more mobile-responsive design and ensure that your newsletter is accessible and easy to read across different devices.

While it may seem more visually appealing to have the columns interchanged, it is important to consider the usability and legibility of your content on mobile devices, where a significant portion of your subscribers might be viewing the newsletter.

Alternatively, you could consider restructuring the section to present the photos and their corresponding descriptions in a single column on mobile devices. This way, the content will be displayed in a clear and consistent manner, regardless of the device being used.

Of course, feel free to reach out to us if you need any more help or have other questions and we’d be happy to help.
