two comment boxes, and two categories

I’m learning to code WP but have been designing corporately and otherwise for years. The problem is that I’m getting two comment boxes in the comment area of the site. I’ve used the code in the default theme and am at a loss.

It’s locate at https://www.authencentric.com. I’m looking to get into the theme end of things, but the coding is a bit difficult for me. Most tutorials do not give the whole code, but rather the perinent snippet of what you are trying to do. Without the entire code it’s almost useless.

Which brings me to my second problem:

I have tried to get two columns of two categories to show up as a leading excerpt and then headlines (3) following. So it would be under the “featured” post (from the Structure theme) and then two column, one for each category.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
