• I recently switched to this theme and within 1-2 weeks my rankings started to decline.

When I looked into it I noticed the website title is always in the H1 tag, resulting in two different H1 tags on all blog posts and pages:
    – The first H1 tag containing the website title
    – The second H1 tag containing the post title

I raised this issue in the forum, but it was ignored. When I posted a second time, asking why I didn’t get an answer, my post was deleted with the reason: no bumping.

EDIT: Issue has been fixed, changed star rating.

@nicoter – I am afraid I don’t see the h1 tags you’re mentioning. Here is a link to a post from our demo of this theme:
    https://demo.lyrathemes.com/kale/2016/02/18/organic-living/

You can see in the source code that there is just one h1 tag. And it is the post title.

Here is a screenshot of the browser inspect elements for the main site title: https://prntscr.com/ftnkp3 No h1 there too.

Also, we are unable to remove any posts from these forums, only forum moderators can do that.

It is possible you’re using some other theme or maybe using an older version of Kale. Please make sure to update the theme and let me know if that solves this for you.

    That’s true.

@nicoter I do not see your topic anywhere. Link?

I think it is here, @jdembowski

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/bad-seo-website-title-is-h1-on-every-page/

It did miss my radar and I responded to it as soon as I saw it was unanswered. But this issue has been addressed for a month now, even when this earlier thread was started.

Got it, thanks for pointing that out. ??

@lyrathemes, the original thread wasn’t answered nor was the issue acknowledged while all other threads were answered, thus I posted again one week later. Looks like the second post then was deleted by a forum moderator and I wrongly thought it was the theme owner.

Anyway, many thanks for fixing it. That was quite a serious SEO issue and I hope you fixed this in all your themes?

@jdembowski: Why was the 1-star review not visible within the aggregated reviews on the Kale main page? Changed it to 5 stars now, but I’m curious whether there’s much censorship going on on WP.org

@nicoter Thanks so much for changing your review, we do appreciate it ?? And I do apologize for missing your original thread.

For the other themes – yes, we’ve made the change in those as well.

I think there is nothing sinister like censorship going on here ?? I think it is a case of extreme caching maybe? Or just a bug? I noticed that too and just reckoned it show up in the aggregated reviews in a day or two.
