two different text colors in same Heading or Paragraph

Yes, you can select certain text to be hightlighted with its own color.

Once the text are selected, you can go to the colors panel to select a highlight color.

It should be there as Ying’s screenshot shows.

Apparently the text has to be wrapped in a container to work, for some reason the container was not there at the time…

I didn’t change the structure but as you can see, the paragraph is now in a container, and the down arrow with mor options is there.

The screenshots you are showing are using the Paragraph block which is from WP core.
