Two domains pointing to the same host site

    I have 2 domains pointing to the same webspace folder, but one of the sites continues to revert back to the other . I have matched the mysql data to match on both. Any suggestions?

  • When you install WordPress, the domain/address you run the installer from is stored in the database as the WordPress site address. This is used for all URLs generated by WordPress

    So whichever domain you used to set up WordPress initially is stored in the database — that’s the one WordPress will use. The second domain pointed to the same “webspace folder” will merely forward or redirect to the one stored in the WordPress database.

    But what are you really trying to accomplish?

    Are you trying to build two separate WordPress sites? If so, give each site its own web space AND database. That’s the standard (and easiest) workflow. Anything else will require custom tweaks of both WordPress and your web server configuration files to work.
