Two Duplicate H1 Title Headers

  • Hi, the website I’m working on is showing the h1 header twice on every page, and when I click ‘Edit with Pagelayer’ within WP, I am not able to edit or delete either of the Titles. If I go to the WordPress Block editor and delete the title, both instances of the H1 are removed rom the page. How do I keep from 2 H1 titles from appearing? (The website has sensitive content so I haven’t included a link or screenshot).

    Hi @melmcgovern,

    It seems that the H1 title is present on the Header template page and you are trying to edit with the pages hence you are not able to update or remove it from the pages.

    You need to open the Header template page, go to the Dashboard -> Pagelayer -> Theme Templates -> Header edit this template using Pagelayer and remove the title.

    It’s appearing twice, but not both in the header. The H1 appears once in <head><body><header> and once in <head><body><main><header>. I appreciate your assistance!
