Two Factor Auth & Simple-Press Forum

Hi,

I noticed that the login page provided by Simple-Press Forum doesn’t seem to recognize that an OTP entry is required. For this reason, all logins through the Simple-Press login page will fail.

I’m not sure if this issue needs to be addressed by you or by Simple-Press, so I’m just going to post the question to both.

Hi,

It’s probably me who is going to add support for it, unless they want to.
As long as they use the standard login functions for WP there shouldn’t be any problem. I’ve added support for [WooCommerce](https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/two-factor-auth-for-woocommerce/) already so there should be easy.

Give me a few days and I’ll look into it.

Please upload this file: https://cl.ly/150k0l0l0C1R through the WP admin interface and activate it and try to login via Simple Forum’s login form.

It works fine for me.

Note that it needs the Two Factor Auth https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/two-factor-auth/ plugin to be installed first to function.

tested on 2 instances, only seems to work on 1 of the 2.
In one of the 2 cases, pressing the “click to enter one time password” seems to redirect the user to the wordpress login page, stating that the password was incorrect; instead of showing the OTP entry field. Not sure what is wrong.

Thats strange.
Is it a public site that I can have a look at?
Do the two sites have different themes?

you can register a user account on https://www.corelan.be & go to the forum to log in & see what happens
