• Hello,

I have a blog hosted by WordPress, and had two-factor authentication enabled on my account. The backup sheet that I had with my recovery codes has been destroyed, and my phone had to be re-flashed, causing me to lose my Google Authenticator settings. As a result, I can no longer log into my WordPress account, as I have no way of generating my 2FA codes. I still have full access to my email, and my phone number (which is associated with the account) is still the same, if that helps any. Is there any way to recover my account reasonably? I feel as though having physical access to my phone and digital access to my email *should* be enough to do a recovery process, but as far as I can see, WordPress doesn’t provide any such thing. Any help?

  • Is your site a WordPress.com site? Due to the differences between the free hosted blogs offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.
