Two forms on the same page

I have the password-less login form on the ‘my-account’ page. I also have it in an overlay accessible by a ‘Sign Up / Login’ menu. Whenever I click on login on the ‘my-account’ page, it submits both forms at once. I get two emails and one of the links does not work (because it’s expired).
What’s the best way to work around this issue?
