two last names upon signup

    Hi,
    When subscribers are signing up at mountaingoattrail.org, their info is coming out as two last names e.g. ‘Dean Dean’ not ‘Patrick Dean.’

    I contacted MailChimp about this and received the following:

    Thanks for following back up with that information. I definitely understand the need to make sure subscriber information is populating lists as expected and am happy to help.

    Just to set expectations here, because Mailmunch is a third party integration we are limited in our ability to troubleshoot and provide insight into why exactly that information is being passed over to two fields.

    With that being said, integrations pass data over to MailChimp using an API key. I went ahead and turned on some additional logging information for the API key associated with the Mailmunch plug in and added a test subscriber to the list. In doing a bit of digging on our end I was able to confirm that the value being passed over for the LNAME and FNAME fields in the MailChimp list(first and last names) in the account is the value for the Last name field I entered into the signup form on the website provided.

    Our recommendation in this case would be to reach out directly to the developers of the Mailmunch integration for a bit more insight into exactly why this might be the case.     Hi Patrick,

    Once you edit a MailMunch opt-in form, on the “Integrate” step if you go to edit your MailChimp integration, you can match the opt-in form fields to the fields from your MailChimp list. Looks like you had “Last Name” selected for both First Name and Last Name. I have corrected that and it should work fine now.
