    Hello,

First of all I have to say, this plugin is awesome and useful and just the thing I was looking for. I’m really grateful it exists.

Now to the problem (it’s best that I just link you to the page):

    https://93.103.18.87/fd/?lang=sl

If you could please look at page ‘Publikacije’ (don’t click English language, this page is not there yet)

There are two main ‘tabs’ -> Alphabetically by Title and Alphabetically by Author.

Please open both. As you can see both contain tabs from A-Z. Now, the problem is this. If I click on a link or bibtex at the selected Publication in the second tab (Alphabetically by Author), the information will not open under that publication as it should, but rather within the first list (‘by title) under the publication that has the same ID.

Is my description of the problem understandable? How can I fix this? Without, I don’t know, uploading the same article twice (so they’ll have different ID’s?)

Thank you for all your help!

    Hi,

I think, I understand the problem. The shortcodes are not developed for a multiple usage on the same page, so that the links, as you said, refer to the same div-containers.
I want to add a new parameter for the publication shortcodes, which gives you the opportunity to manipulate the container IDs with a suffix. This will be introduced with the next version. This should be solve this problem.

    Kind regards,
    Michael

    Thank you very much!

btw, I also have a suggestion. I’ve noticed there’s an option for authors name style which is a great function, but in a way lacking. The thing is, different academic organizations use different styles of referencing – APA, MLA, AMA, Turabian, Chicago, Harvard, etc., maybe there should be an option to choose a style of listing publications … or are you already planing to do that in some future versions?

    Hi,
With version 5.0.2 you can use the parameter “container_suffix”. Example:

    [tplist container_suffix="blub"]
    [tplist container_suffix="blub2"]

That should solve the ID problem.

The author name style works only correctly if you use the recommend format: firstname lastname and firstname lastname and … If the format is wrong, the function lacks. ??

Currently, I not plan to integrate different citation styles. The problem is, that this is really expensive to develop. teachPress uses a mix of some popular citation styles to create the publication lists. My goal is that this style will be working under all conditions with some options for the user (for example: different author name styles) – that’s difficulty enough. ?? But, what I want is to add some more options for the author name style, like other separators.
