two of my page templates disappeared after my site crashed

    I wonder if anyone can help. This is the first site I’m working on in WP.
    After my site crashed, two of the page templates disappeared and the sidebar widgets that were placed in the templates are now inactive.

    Not sure if that makes sense, but thats the best I can describe what has happened.

    The pages I’m having trouble with are ‘Books’ and ‘TV Show’

    Nice-looking site.

    When you say “my site crashed,” what do you mean exactly?
    Do you mean you had to restore files from backup?
    And/or had to restore database from backup?

    Let me know.

    Thanks for the reply!

    What happened was I added code to the functions.php file and after I did that the whole site went blank. I accessed my site through FTP.

    I didn’t build the site. I have just been updating it…this is why I’m still a bit clueless.

    I now have 2 widgets that are inactive. The templates that they were placed in have disappeared from the sidebar.

    What is coming up on my site on the righthand side if you are able to see, on the ‘Books’ and ‘TV Show’ pages is a list of ‘pages’, ‘archives’, ;blogroll’ etc. This is in place of what i used to have which was in the widget.

    Hope that explains it.
