Two Questions Actually

#1: Yes and no. Normally grid is used to build landingpages with boxes that display the recent X posts of the category Y and than linking to the post page and perhaps providing a link to the default category page. But I’ve seen people who build onepages and other content pages with grid too. so depends on how you use it ??

#2: I don’t know what you mean with old and new css. the css for grid is rendered in our grid php library. for the frontend you can disable the default grid css or use it as a foundation for your theme.

The New grid CSS can be found at a search page I call CSS3 Grid. This should give you some idea of what I’m talking about.

As for pages, any plans to expand the capability to multi-page designs?

Ah now I see. No we dont use CSS3 Grid. That’s because we have to be compatible and features like flexbox and grid are not yet supported by all browser versions we want to support.

Grid supports multi-page designs. We use it for multi-page designed websites all day. Most times we want to give the capability to build more complex and multi taxonomy landingpages. Like you want to show a landingpage for a parent category and show the child categories in a nice containerist layout.

I sympathize, I’ve done a few dumb things myself.

Now the time is coming when you can expect CSS3 Grid and Flexbox to be adopted, largely because they’ve apparently been kept simple. Something Adobe forgot to do with the Regions suggestion. Still, I’m going to agree with your decision to wait until matters are settled.

I’m looking forward to when no one is using IE or old browser Version anymore and we can use the nice “new” features of CCS ??
