Two questions from a newbie

Hi there,
Hoping someone may be able to help me….
I have an existing website in the root directory of my server and would like to slowly and tediously move the content into WP which is currently located in a subdomain. I don’t really want to have to have any downtime while I get the hang of WP and get it ready for the big move (as in moving WP to my root once it is ready to go).
So my questions are :
1. Is it possible to move WP to a new directory once it is all setup?
and
2. I am trying to find a template which meets my particular needs – is there a site/page that has any templates on offer?
