Two Quirks

Nice plugin, a WordPress classic of course, but some questions, please:
1) Google doesn’t seem to notice hyphens, as in “post-construction” and “post construction” — but why does Yoast SEO?
2) I’m glad that this plugin now accounts for the Post’s date in Google’s SERP Snippet but it’s also now accounting for a Page’s date as well; does Google not make distinctions anymore (if it ever did) between WordPress Posts and Articles, especially WRT its SERP Snippet??
