Two Tag Managers

  • I am trying to get custom dimensions to work but having prolblem getting values in GA.
    The website has two GTM. We have lost access to GTM and GA that is being used with the duracelltomi plugin. We have access to GA (classic code) and another GTM that is also installed on the website. I set up my custom dimensions, Tags and triggers inside GTM to collect data about product id, page type and total value. However, when I check my GA, the custom dimensions have no data attached to them.

    I thought that when we install the datalayer via one tag manager, the data would be available for the second data manager and GA that are installed on the same website. What should I do?

    Hi,

    Yes, that should work, multiple GTM containers share the same data layer variables. Can you post the URL of your site to see what could be the cause of this?
