• In my personal website, I want to run two different layouts and before I can do that I need to somehow create two separate themes for one blog. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? Any help is appreciated!

You can develop/use as many themes as you want. If you want your users to be able to see different themes on your blog, then you can use the theme switcher plugin and users will be able to switch to any theme you have uploaded. See how it works on my site…just click the theme changer on the right side.

I really like that idea, but the thing is I am using lesbar-10 theme which is only one column and that is my blog alone. And I think your using the whole wordpress theme, am I right?

Take a look at my site and see if you can understand what I’m saying and trying to do. https://myfantaji.net

    Thanks!

I would like to have one Theme for my main Page and the links concerning that, then another one ONLY for my private blog. I have already downloaded the both wished-for themes in my admin under themes, so there both in my wordpress login already.
the question now is (anyones’ answer is appreciated who would be so kind to explain step-by-step to a more or less no-knower in this field although stubborn & positive in getting it going!) – how do I get that one theme going for my blog ONLY and the other one for the main pages?
I am grateful for any answer!!!

Was this topic ever resolved? I’m trying to do the same thing and can’t figure out an answer!

I know this might be a page template issue, and I made like a page.php file. But then what? What of the theme that I want to I paste in that file, if that indeed is what I am supposed to do? Thanks!!

You can specify a separate theme for certain pages and enter the reference in the header of the said pages. Hope this helps

thanks for replying! Sorry I’m kind of new to this…what do you mean enter the reference? Is that part of the code for a certain theme, and if so, what part? That’s the step I’m confused on, I don’t exactly know what code to use to get this job done. Thanks!!

I need help with this as well.
I want the front page to stay the same, but the rest of the blog I want to use a different theme.
