TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘e.isSavingPost’)

  • We see this error (below) when editing https://embroiderersguild.com in the CMS, it is reported by the inspector.

    TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'e.isSavingPost')

    When editing the block nothing works, it does not show the existing slides (although they DO work on the front end) and if you try to set the background or add slides to the block nothing happens.

    We have tried disabling other plugins (especially EventBrite and ACF) but they do not seem to make a difference.

    Any suggestions on what causes this error?

    Hey @linesgroup we are sorry for the issue. We have never heard about it before. Could you try reinstalling the latest version of Gutenslider from the official repo? Which version are your using. Also which php version and WordPress version?

    Many thanks for the reply @gutenbergslider, we are on PHP 8.1.13, WP 6.1.1 and have deleted and reinstalled the latest version of the plugin – I’m afraid though that the issue is still present.

    @linesgroup we tried to recreate the issue with the specs you have posted but it is working on our machines.

    Please do the following:
    1. create a new page and only insert gutenslider there and see if it fails, if it doesn’t

    2. Can you please test on a clean WordPress install with default theme and no other plugins. If it works incrementally try adding your used plugins and see where it fails. Strage issue…

    That is all we can think about troubleshooting that error.
