Typing lag during writing long posts.

I understand that the typing is slow/delayed while using the editor.

I see that you already tried with all plugins deactivated. Has this started after using a specific theme or enabling a particular feature?

Please also let me know if this happens across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc).

I have the same problem. It only happens when writing long posts and it has only just started happening in the last week or so. It doesn’t happen when I’m typing in any other software or when using Chrome.

Well, we figured out the issue. It was mainly due to the Jetpack Block and disabling that has certainly resolved the issue.

@melsalvador5 if you are using a Jetpack plugin, then try disabling the Jetpack blog, present in the Writing section of the setting page.

If the initial question is resolved for the original poster, could you please open a separate thread for subsequent questions? It makes life a lot easier for volunteers to keep track of what has been solved and it also makes it easier for users looking for answers to have individual threads for each question.

@twb001 my issue was resolved by following the advice above. I went into the writing section of Jetpack and disabled the block setting which was part of the update and now everything is fine again. Hope it works for you. It was driving me nuts.
