U tube cropping

    im trying to enter a cropped u tube video into the Header Media on primer theme and paste in the URL with the delayed start on the video , but it will always play from the start. can this be resolved, thanks

    A YouTube video URL with a delayed start would look something like this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF121v_zhug#t=2m05s

    When embedding a video, only the video ID (the part after the ‘?v=’, ending before ‘#’) is taken as a parameter, and it doesn’t take any other parameters (like the part after the ‘#t=’, which is responsible for delaying the start of the video).

    Therefore, it isn’t possible to embed a delayed YouTube video in this case.

    Maybe you can upload a cropped version of the video to YouTube, which starts where you’d like, and then embed that video. Apart from that, I’m afraid we can’t help with this any further.
