UCSS cron starts 12 times a day

    Hi,
    My UCSS cron runs with an irregular interval. It takes a couple of days to have over one hundred posts/pages processed. Sometimes 6 posts are processed in a few minutes and then nothing happens for 6 hours. Cron should run every minute.

    Starting cron by hand doesn’t work.

    I have debug (admin only) turned on: waiting for something to appear in the log file.

    Any idea?

    on that “6 hours” , if you manually click force cron , does it move ?

    Hi @qtwrk ,

    I’m afraid not. For quite some time “Force cron” seems out of order. Hence my
    “Starting cron by hand doesn’t work” remark.

    Today (13 dec 2022) UCSS jobs ran at
    09:16
    07:58
    07:39
    01:59`
    while queue size > 200

    and UCSS cron runs every minute …

    please try , enable debug log , then manual cron it , see what log says , it would give some hint

    Hi @qtwrk ,

    Installed v5.3.1 the other day. Today ‘force cron’ worked just once.

    Now it’s back to same behaviour. UCSS queue = 264. No progress.
    Debug (admin only) is on all the time, but no data on ucss cron. Even when I force cron

    Hi @qtwrk ,

    Situation is slightly better. Larger chunks of posts/pages are processed for UCSS in a reasonable time frame. “Force Cron” worked once (see above) but is now back to just “a page refresh”.

    Latest UCSS timestamp on QUIC.cloud (e.g. 16:21) and LSCWP dashboard (e.g. 18:05) are out of sync.

    Hi @qtwrk , UCSS generation never comes to a close. Today 2 pages have been processed so far (timestamped 00:51 and 07:41). Queue = 292

    Force cron has no effect. Looks like a page refresh, nothing happens

    from the QC dashboard , it looks like UCSS generates every now and then across the entire day

    have you checked/counted the generated UCSS file in /wp-content/litespeed/ucss ?

    Yes, UCSS generates every now and then across the day. Over the last few days the number of generated CSS files in /wp-content/litespeed/ucss was:

    Dec 16 : 40
    Dec 17 : 10
    Dec 18 : 120
    Dec 19 : 30
    Dec 20 : 70 (today)

    Today at 16:25 last generated CSS file is timestamped at 13:18. Queue = 172. Active node = 12

    ‘Force cron’ still out of order.
