• Seemingly out of nowhere, I didn’t update anything, when clicking on a gallery link from within an album, it redirects the user back to the page containing the album shortcode. I was unable to find anybody else experiencing this issue, which could be an erroneous conclusion due to the obscurity and generic terminology associated with describing this issue.

I began to poke around, was unable to see anything meaningful in server logs to implicate the source of this bug, but did notice my NGG permalinks are very, very, very ugly. They look something like this

    /gallery/nggallery/commercial/commercial/

I attempted to remove the extraneous “commercial/” thinking it was an error, with no result. I have already wasted about two hours on this, and am simply beginning to think this gallery plugin is unstable. But before I jump to that conclusion, I figured it would be better to ask the community & plugin author.

    Thanks for reading! ??

PS: If that permalink is correct, then I do suggest/request that it is altered to something more meaningful, and to reconsider injecting the name of the plugin into the URL, which doesn’t only have basic SEO implications, but also security issues.

PSS The first time I used NGG was years ago, and I ditched it due to it’s overcomplexity, difficulty of use and unstable nature. While it has improved a lot (Great Work!) I still find the differences between Galleries and Albums to be vaguely described, unintuitive and confusing at first, and still find the documentation to be lacking. (There are shortcodes on your Gallery Shortcodes documentation that aren’t working!)
