Thanks for your post. We can certainly help look into the cause of this error message with you.

If your MailChimp account does already have lists in it, then there may be an issue with the connection itself.

Could you try re-entering the API key used from your MailChimp account under Account > Extras > API Keys and see if copy and pasting the key directly from the MailChimp account resolves this issue?

If that doesn’t do the trick, could you try fully disconnecting the plugin and reconnecting it?
