Hi, I don’t know what happen but the Uipress Lite plug-in broke my site. I was editing the template and activated it then all sudden I see a blank page. I had to delete the plug-in files from my file manager database. Is there a way to reset the plug-in settings somehow? I know WordPress keeps plug-in settings even after being deleted so not sure how to reset your guy’s plug-in.

    Hello

Sorry to hear you are having issues, sounds like you may have set an empty ui template as active for your role. I guess it wasn’t a problem when the plugin was deactivated?

We are planning on implementing a feature that stops templates from being loaded unless they meet a certain criteria, i.e have a menu block and content block.

If you have anymore info on what happened please share it here. If you are still trying to use the plugin and keep getting the blank screen on activation, let us know as there are a few ways around it.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Hi thanks for getting back to me, I couldn’t use the UIpress on that site anymore so just used regular Uipress version 2.4.2 for my sites. I also notice a few other issues with Uipress Lite, whenever I would create a block or change something it would get stuck or the system would say the block isn’t there or deleted even though it wasn’t, which was really weird. But ya I can’t use the Uipress Lite due to malfunctions issues and glitches I experienced, it really sucked. ?? Also it would be hopeful as you mentioned to have a safety requirement net so people don’t get stuck on their site.

    Hey,

Yes this does sound like a blank template issue, there is a safe mode built in to uipress that will allow you to disable the template with url param and turn off the problem template.

You can see how to set it up here

    https://uipress.notion.site/Filters-Hooks-f20b64d7365641c09c61ed0252b90727?p=c6df814584e64af6aaee3f333dfc29d4&pm=s

Once setup, you can then go to the uiBuilder page with your safe key:

    yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=uip-ui-builder&uipsm=YOUR-UNIQUE-SAFE-KEY

Then you can turn off the templates / delete them.

As for the other things you mentioned, I haven’t experienced or seen that behaviour before but if you decide to try v3 again and experience it please document it and start a new thread here so we can investigate.

Let me know if the above works for getting the templates off.

    Thanks,

    Mark
