    Hi,

It seems that the UL lists are stripped from automatically generated description. Unfortunately on the site I’m currently working on my client tends to write most of the copy for the hero sections in lists (which is not a bad thing IMHO). Which causes that the most important part of the content is excluded from the auto description.

Is there a way I can change the list of the skipped tags? Even the filter would do.

I had a brief look into the source code, but it seems there isn’t a filter for this situation. There’s only a filter for enabling the shortcodes. Am I right? Would it be possible to add such filter?

    Thanks

    Hello!

You’re right. TSF strips <ul>-element content without a filter. I understand that, although unconventional, people wish to use lists in harmony with sentence flow. I’ll add the filter in the next minor update and provide you with the code once it’s ready.

Please note that my updating schedule is quite relaxed unless there’s a critical issue to be addressed (such as a sudden browser/plugin/WordPress/Google incompatibility).

So, until then, one workaround is to provide descriptions manually when <ul>-elements ought to be considered part of the description content.

    Hello!

The next update of TSF will add the filter the_seo_framework_extract_content_strip_args.

You can already inspect it here, and you can learn more about the filter’s return value here.

    Have a lovely day!
