    Hello,
    After reading the forums for atleast an hour and still not finding a proper fix I have decided to make a post myself. The issue is Ultimate Member version 2.3.0 will not let me login. The user registration process is simple and flawless. Once I get the email for verification (Or even force the user to be registered via the Users page) as the current verify link is not working… I can’t seem to get the user logged in.

    Everytime it says “Password is incorrect. Please try again.”

    I do not see any fix and there has been suggestions on things such as caching, etc. but I am unsure.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Edit: I would like to note that the default role was changed from Custom to Registered. This was also changed to make it default upon registration, and default on the site. FYI

    Are you using the predefined password field instead of creating a custom password field for the UM Register form?

    @champ Camba yes I was using the predefined password field. It has to do with the email verification stuff as I disabled it and it works wonders, but once enabled it does not work.

    Could you please try editing the Register form and then edit the Password field. Please take a screenshot of the password field settings and then share it here so we can review it.

    Here are both password fields from both forms. I also just made these new forms.
    Before it was not saving the passwords for some reason or something. As I have just tried to login to a newly created account and I am still getting the Password is incorrect. Please try again error. (Yes the password is typed in correctly)

    And when I go to forgot your password I am using OTP Verification FYI I type in the code and hit Verify. At that point it redirects me to the reset-password page and not to create a new password. I have a feeling it has something to do with Caching. I am using WP Super Cache and maybe I need to adjust settings in there?

    P.S. in Ultimate Member Settings the Require a strong password field is also unchecked.

    Don’t cache pages Login, Register, Password Reset.
    Don’t cache pages Account and User (a profile page).

    Edit: The top error field of saying Password is incorrect. Please try again. appears everytime. But the bottom error appears ONLY WHEN the password is actually incorrect.

    Example: If I type in the right credentials I only get the password incorrect message up top.
    If I type in the wrong password I get both errors as seen in the image. Up top and below the field.

    Do you have any 2FA WP plugin installed?

    As I stated I have OTP Verification…but that was added afterwards. I can remove and try again. But it has to do with the two error messages…

    The 2FA WP plugin is blocking login for this user after the “Grace period”.
    Look at WP Users and hover the User name if there is an “Unblock” link for this user.

    So I disabled the OTP as I don’t think I need it anyways for password resets etc. (Which is also not working FYI – it keeps sending back to entering email and blocking the creation of creating a new password + confirming new password). But I have no unblock option. Only Edit, Delete, View, Send password reset, View Profile, Info. Which View and View Profile direct to the same place. (LearnPress Profile)

    Try to deactivate the “LearnPress” plugin if you have a plugin conflict with UM.

    Already tested and still does not work. Is there a way I can Voice chat or something for quicker responses? Everything you have suggested thus far is already tested and stated above.

    Update: reCaptcha was enabled for the Login, Registration, and Reset password form. Now when I login I do not have this issue. Think I should be good now!
