It seems that Ultimate Member Plugin works fully expect for its menu ability.I’m trying to use the ability to change the visibility of a menu item based on a user being logged in or not logged in . Currently the UM Menu does not exist at all. Hoping that I’m just doing something wrong but after some checking on some WordPress Discords and StackOverlow most of the feedback I’m getting is that it’s most likely the theme as I originally was thinking. This is the email I got back after asking them about it.

    “Thanks for writing in.

When it comes to 3rd party plugins such as Ultimate Member, you have to understand that we didn’t and couldn’t test all plugins out there with our themes. The official plugins we provided bundled inside our theme are the ones that are tested several times before the theme was launched and we guarantee their functionality. If you’re having issues with any other plugin you downloaded yourself, please refer to the author of the plugin or the team behind it.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Thanks,
    Quintin

  • Oh, great – I don’t have to create my own thread ?? I’m having the same issue. I thought it was working fine for a day or so, but now it’s intermittently not working. In my main menu, I have a login link that should be displayed to logged out users, and another link that should be displayed to logged in members. Sometimes it’s showing the logged-in link when I’m not logged in, and sometimes it doesn’t change when I log in. The theme I’m using is Themify Ultra and my staging site is located at https://s8o.05d.myftpupload.com/. Next to “Donate” the “Login” link should be displayed. I’m not getting any errors in my DevTools console, and I don’t believe I’m getting any relevant errors in my WordPress log.

I tried deleting the menu items and adding them back, applying the same Ultimate Member Menu Settings again, and I always clear all cache from the theme and host (GoDaddy). Please let me know if there’s anything that can be done about this. I am going to try to use the If Menu plugin, but I’d rather keep my plugins to a minimum since the functionality is already built into Ultimate Member. I really love the plugin – it was perfect for my use case. Thank you!!

I’m glad to hear it’s not just me. To be more specific about my issue. I’m using Themeforest Penumbra. It seems EDGE is blocking my Conditional menu options as it’s forcing its setup instead. I’ve tried a few other plugins and I have not been able to get over this hurdle thus far. My website is https://quintinc.com
    Thanks,

Alright, it’s back to being just you ?? I was able to solve the issue!

For me, it was an issue with my caching. First, my theme had a setting to disable to WordPress menu caching, which I selected, then tested it, and it was working. Then I went back to my settings, and it wasn’t selected….so then I turned on my Themify cache, and it’s still working properly. I’ll let you know if it reverts back to not working, because I was pretty sure it was working initially for at least a day.

Hope you can get it figured out! Maybe play around with cache settings!

    Hi @quinjc

This could be related to this issue:

I suggest that you contact the theme developer and confirm if they have mega menu added to your theme.
