After registering the wrong form is sent out. It should send out “Your Account is Pending Review”. I look at this form in settings/email and it looks good but the form sent out is different.
I have been searching for the answer for days. The “Your Account is Pending Review” form item in settings/email has a red x. I cannot find out what this means. The documentation says you can turn this template on or off but does not say how and I can’t find this either. I have looked at the docs and googled these items because I think they may be the answer but can find them.

After all this time searching, I am totally frustrated. I would really appreciate any help anyone can provide.
Thank you very much in advance

    Hi @billreich

When you click on the gear icon, it should redirect you to the Edit page of the template. And then click on the first checkbox to turn it on. See this screenshot:

Thank you very much for your reply.
Unfortunately, it does not work. I checked the box and then click Save. However, it is not saving the check. When I leave and go back to the page it is not checked. I also tried changing some text and then clicking the check box and save but it did not work either.
Also, the page in settings/email still has the red X which I assume shows the template is off.

Again, I appreciate your help. If you have any other ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.
    Thank you very much

Based on a Forum article I found I asked my Host to disable mod security. After that I am able to turn on the form so hopefully everything works as it should.

Thank you @champsupertramp for your help

    I consider this closed

My template is now turned on. However, it is still sending out the wrong page.
When someone Registers, I expect the system to send out the “Your Account is Pending Review” email. Mine is not. I clicked on the gear for this report and it shows the email I want sent out. However, the system is sending out a different email.

    I would appreciate any help
    Thank you

    Hi @billreich

Did you set the Register options > Status to “Pending Admin Review” in the User Role settings?

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I did set the Register options to “Pending Admin Review”..
I also went to my host and searched the billswebsite.online directory for pending_email.php. It found four occurrences of this. They all had the content that I want. I think this is the email that it is supposed to send after registration when the status is “pending admin review”. This file also reflects the changes I made to the “Your Account Is Pending Review” template in Ultimate Member on my Ultimate Member settings page.
Today, I will see if I can connect to FTP with Linux so I can search the files for the content it is actually sending out. Knowing the name of the template it is sending out may help figure this out.

Thank you again. I really appreciate your help.

I wanted to find out the name of the page that is being sent out. I looked through all the pages in Settings–>Email but did not see the page that is being send out.
I went to the Host server and did a grep looking for the word password which is contained in the email that is being sent out. Only five files were identified with the word “password” in it. They are wp-.php, wp-activate.php, wp-login.php, wp-settings.php and wp-signup.php. However, none of these was the file being sent out.
So, now I am totally stumped. I have no idea where to look next.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any idea.

    Thank you
    Bill

Does anyone recognize the below form? This is the form that is incorrectly being sent out. It would help a lot if I could identify it.
    Thank you

    Hi @billreich

Sorry for the late response. Do you still have issues?

That email is sent by WP when a user register/reset password.

Feel free to re-open this thread by changing the topic status to “Not Resolved” so we can get back to you.
