• Hey everyone,

Honestly, the latest update didn’t help at all. My website was working perfectly using UM. When I run the 2.3.0 update, I lost all my Theme Layouts, Page Headers and Page Footers. I even lost access to most of my pages.

I had to restore my website from a backup. Apparently, a conflict happened between Avada Theme and UM.

Now, I am still getting the following message: Ultimate Member version 2.3.0 needs to be updated to work correctly.

But honestly, I am afraid to run the update and see my website crashing again. The URL to my website home page is: https://canadataxpro.com/

Please advise. I really like UM and all its features, but if the 2.3.0 version is causing all these bugs, then I might have to find an other plugin, and I may have to give UM a 1 star review.

    Cheers,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @badiro

Please contact me via [email protected]
We will take a look with the team for getting fixed these issues and you will be able to move forward with Ultimate Member.

Better to have a staging website, so as not to hit your live site again in case of problems.

    Best Regards!

I facing the same issue. Kindly share how yours got solved.
The UM support team seem dead, my site is suffering and they do not bother to response.
    Your help would be appreciated.

    Hey buddy,

I was fortunate I had a backup on my hosting platform, otherwise I would’ve lost everything.

Here is what nsinelnikov (@nsinelnikov) sent me:

Hey thanks for your kind response.
Unfortunately I had no backup. Already contacted that guy via email and in this forum too, unfortunately he seem DEAD.

Just upgraded to 2.3.0 of ultimate member and it does appear on initial look to be OK. I did back up beforehand.
The problem I am having is that having upgraded the plugin and then updating the database successfully (according to the log), the plugin insists that it still needs upgrading.
So there is a problem somewhere.

[FIXED] Following this one too as I also have seen the persistent update message which fails to remove it self even after clicking upgrade, reset cache. I’ve even viewed the debug log but nothing useful in there at this time.

Update: I clicked the ‘Run’ button at the bottom of the page and the update started to do it’s unpacking and updating. User error but the overall UX could have been clearer as I’ve never needed to click a secondary button like this before when updating any db.
