• Hello,

I use Ultimate Member as plugin for user management of our website (multisite install). You can check the page here.

The login and registration parts work as expected, but the logout fails.
In fact, when the logout is triggered (both from menu or from login page after having logged-in) the user is rightly redirected to the homepage, but when the user presses log-in again, the user is already logged-in.

I’ve tried many tests, from deactivating all plugins to switching to simple themes but with no luck. docs

Pages are set correctly on settings and the logout page is an empty page.

Why is this happening? Can you help me please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @moserello

Does your site have caching plugin or a server cache module? If so, please exclude all UM pages from the cache and see if the issue still occurs.

    Hello @champsupertramp !

    Thanks for your reply.
I have no caching plugins active, and I’ve tried deactivating all SiteGround caching features but still no luck.

I write to them in order to have more information regarding this issue and I’ll keep you posted.

Any other ideas/tests in order to solve this problem?
    Thanks and best regards

    Hi @moserello

Does this issue occur when leaving UM as the only active plugin?

Did they respond if they have excluded UM pages from the server cache? Could you also check if this issue also occurs when you use a default WP Theme such as 2020 or 2021? Let’s see if there’s an issue with your current theme.

    Hi @champsupertramp

SG replied to me that pages were correctly excluded from caching. Tested all with all caching tools disabled and chat with them but still no luck. Even changing theme doesn’t help.

I think that it could be a redirect problem, something in conflict with the .htaccess maybe?

    Thanks,
    Regards

    Hi @moserello

How about when you try logging out with the default WP logout link? Does this issue occur?

Hello @champsupertramp and thanks for your patience and time.

Yes, it still occurs with the default /wp-login.php?action=logout
It asked me if I was sure to leave –> yes –> login page again
I clicked on “back to site” button below and I was still logged in.

Would it be reasonable for you to create an account (if/when you have time) and try to logout too see if you notice something from there?

However thanks again for the help and efforts
