UM 2.X – Unable to find ‘port forwarding’ settings

    The admin UI has changed in 2.0 and I’m unable to find some of the advanced settings like ‘port forwarding’.. any ideas? Thank you

  • Can you please turn on the option “Allow Port forwarding in URL” in UM > Settings > Advanced and see if this will resolve the issue?

    @txpmr, I’m running UM Version 2.0.9 on WP 4.9.5 and do not have an ‘Advanced’ tab under settings.. just General, Access, Email, Appearance, Extensions, Licenses, Misc, Info

    Hi @tyler0001,

    UM 2.0+ has removed some of the settings were available in previous versions to simplify the settings. ‘port forwarding’ is one of them.

    Thanks for the reply.. this is disappointing. Is there any documentation about why UM decided to remove features? The ‘port forwarding’ setting is still rendered in the ‘install info’ text file output.

    The plugin had become bloated with settings, and we wanted to simplify the settings in UM so easier for person to use the plugin and also improve the speed of UM plugin by making it more lightweight.
