We need a UM user role that will allow someone to approve/deny/edit memberships on the front end, without giving them full superuser access as a WP administrator. Is this possible? The front end access to edit/change user profiles and to approve/deny pending registrations seems only to work if the user is both a “UM Admin” and a WP superuser administrator.

  • I’m having this exact same issue. I setup a chapter admin role, but I don’t want them editing plugins and themes, so I disabled those settings. I can login as that chapter admin role, but can’t access the dashboard.

So I changed the chapter admin role to have all permissions (checked all the boxes), but I still can’t access the dashboard with that chapter admin role.

    What are we doing wrong?

    Hi @evollo and @drummergirl,

Unfortunately, right now it’s not possible to approve/deny new users without WP admin user role it is due to WordPress limitations, I’m afraid.

    Regards.
