Um my permalinks are weird….Please help

So…Maybe I am on something but ever since I went to mutisite (maybe it was before but I don’t know) – hence why I posted this here.

I go to perma links section and went to change my custom perma link because it was always going siteName/blog/postName – there is no blog, so I was like lets change this – because it should always go siteName/postName (or) siteName/category/postName

in the perma link section is:

/blog (<- out side the text box – and then inside ->) /%postname%/

What is this /blog crap and how do get rid of it? it is seriously screwing with my posts and navigation to them.

I just want it to say custom [textbox with: /%postname%/]
instead of custom /blog [textbox with: /%postname%/]
