UM only grabbed 570 of my 1600 members

    Hello,

    First time using UM and posting.

    I installed the plugin and in the dashboard it shows 570 members. It found them from my SMF forum database.

    However, it only took 570 of the 1600 members.

    How can I get them all to populate?

    I’d like to use a bridge: SMF2WP or some other way to either a)bridge the SMF login so they can see a few web pages, or b) simply move the member/password list into UM so they can log in directly to the web pages.

    Very new; any help is appreciated.

    hi,

    i didn’t actually.

    I just installed the ultimate member plugin, and when i hit the dashboard i saw 570 members in there!?

    Do you have the “WP2SMFBridge” plugin installed, where users logging in to your SMF site also will be registered in WordPress if the user is not existing in WP?

    Your users found in UM may be the number of users being logged in to your SMF Forum since you installed this plugin.

    So, each time a person logs into SMF they get “added” to the WP users table?

    I don’t have WP2SMF installed as no one would every log into wp.

    The whole idea was to simply log into SMF and be able to click a link and read a few pages of stuff not intended for non-members of the SMF

    You didn’t import any users so what other plugin
    do you have installed that can make the WP registrations?

    Look at the WP Users table when was the last user registered?

    I wiped the users table. going to start over and see.

    I had ultimate member installed.

    going to go back and see when things change.

    Assuming I can get the list to populate properly, where are the attributes to make a page only visible to users?

    did a fresh wp install (no pages to lose anyway), and I can’t duplicate.

    Well, I left it a while, and now see about 11 folks populated in the user table.

    So, it takes the logging in of each person to get over to WP.

    Now I just need to figure out how restrict pages to only them.
