UM users can’t log out fully without closing browser
-
I have the same issue as in this old thread that didn’t get publicly resolved:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/ultimate-member-logout-doesnt-completely-logout/After logging in with a custom user role on my client’s WP network site and navigating around the site, if I log out through the UM logout page, I’m correctly redirected to the homepage as expected. However, if I then go to the UM login page, I end up on a page with my profile pic and the links “Your account” and “Log out” as if I’m still logged in, but it’s not a full profile page.
After expecting to be logged out, I can still see the wfwaf-authcookie-* cookie in my Chrome browser on the start page. If I go back to the login page where this “half logged in” state is present, I get the cookies wfwaf-authcookie-* and wfwaf-authcookie-* in Chrome. If I restart Chrome, I get correctly to a standard log in window on the UM log in page, so it could maybe be an issue with session cookies not being cleared correctly?
Everything on my sate is updated to the latest versions. I have tried deactivating all plugins except UM, clearing caches, resetting salts in wp-config, setting siteurls and cookiepaths in wp-config- you name it! It’s also an issue both on my staging and production as well as on localhost that unlike the others doesn’t run on HTTPS.
Logging out as a Super Admin from WP admin presents no issues so this seems to be only related to the UM login feature.Any ideas?
