The web page is mostly used by Germans. If they write a text, they use the German special characters (Umlaute) ?,?,ü. (ae, oe, ue)

These characters are changed by the form to ???¤??o. This can make the text difficult to read. Is there any setting to change that?

    Thanks

    Udo

    Hi dear user.

    Sorry for the late response.

Characters changed in form fields from the front end or they changed when you receiving the email?

This issue may come from you hosting mail settings, try to contact your hosting provider as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

thanks for the response. This brought me to the idea to change the settings for the contact form resp. the mail server type from PHPMailer to wp_mail, everything now is fine.

    Thanks and regards

    Udo
