I’m developing a website that includes events: Working on additional fields for my events I created a text field (and likely switched it from number to text at some point due to technical needs).
The issue here is that at a certain point this field stopped showing values on the front end. Due to this malfunction I deleted all values of that field in each test event and then tried to delete the field itself in the field editor.
The field appears again in the editor after deletion procedure (click on X button on the right, confirm and save).

Also tried to set is as hidden field but the title (I renamed as Hidden field) still appear on the front end.

I tried several times and would much prefer not to click on the “reset to default” due to about 20 customized fields into my project. Is there a procedure or workaround to solve this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @jathinhelp
and thank you for your suggestions.

Actually the plugin must have suffered a major corruption: after reinstallation I noticed that many tools and functions were missing.

Canceling and reinstalling the plugin seems to have fixed the malfunction….
But I don’t suggest to try this solution on any live site.

All my custom fields are now lost as well as all custom data of the events.
Venues and Organizers now generate 404s.

In few words I have to rebuild everything from scratch.

Since I have backups, I might restore the malfunctioning version of the site in order to export my fields and settings before reinstalling the plugin, and then try to import my data: is there any tool I might use to achieve this?

Update: after deleting and reinstalling the plugin I had to rebuild the fields into the field editor.

I made some screenshot of all my settings and fields (from a backup), and rebuilt everything exactly the same. Be carful with labels since the meta-keys are automatically named from labels.
Keeping the same meta-keys the plugin was able to retrieve alla data stored into the database and rebuilt my broken (test) events.
So actually I was able to have everything fixed and working.

Hello, I have the same problem. The field cannot be deleted!!!! Even with labels with ‘?, ?, ü’ or special characters in the labels, incorrect functions are executed on the front end. I.e. e.g. that registrations are not possible if, for example, places with ‘?’ are inserted. This is clearly a bug and should be fixed as soon as possible. The number of errors in the plugin are becoming more and more…sorry for the feedback, but that’s how it is…

This is likely the same bug I reported about 3 months ago:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/custom-field-bug-2/

I just updated to the new version and the issue still remains.

After reinstalling the plugin and reconfiguring all fields and settings (ugh!) it seems to be working.
