I was trying to make my wordpress site live for the first time. Godaddy sent me an email about how to do that(see below) and I logged into my wordpress account, went to the control panel settings and followed the instructions below…sort of. my site listed in my settings was knox-creative.com/worpress for both the URLs and then I changed both to knox-creative.com.
Here are the directions I sort of followed:
Log in to your original WordPress control panel.
    Click Settings.
Complete the following fields, and then click Save Changes:

WordPress address (URL) — Enter the fully-qualified domain name for your WordPress site’s new location. For example, https://coolexample.com/new / where coolexample.com is your domain name and new is the new directory for your WordPress site.

NOTE: If you want to move your WordPress site to your root directory, do not enter a directory after your domain name.
Site address (URL) — Enter the same address you entered in the WordPress address (URL) field.

after i did this, when I go to login to my wordpress it shows an error. what can i do???? Please help
