• I did an auto-update and disabled all my plugins. However, after udpating I no longer have access to the dashboard. I attempted to access the admin dashboard through this “htt://www.inceptionradionetwork.com/wp-admin” and I got the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in D:\Hosting\7352934\html\wp-admin\includes\menu.php on line 10

How do I fix this? You can check the website to verify that it is back up and running. I have been using an ajax plugin to access the admin page. However, that was disabled before the auto-update. Is there anyway I can just try to reactivate that plug-in or another means to access my dashboard?

  • Your upgrade did not complete successfully. Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to access /wp-login.php to get this to kick in fully.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-running the upgrade manually.

What will switching the theme do? What do you mean about access the wp-login.php as well.

What will switching the theme do?

It rules any any upgrade issues that are being caused by your theme.

Just try logging into your site after you’ve renamed the theme folder.

anyway of identifying what that exact error message means without me having to do a manual update? I would like to revert things to back the way they were or find a way to manually reactivate all my plugins to see if that will fix the dashboard access issue

I want to know what you meant by renaming the themes folder? As in just rename the “Themes” folder to something like “Themes-old”. Then how do I kick in the change though the wp-login.php?

Yes. Your upgrade did not complete successfully.

How do I manually re-activate my plugins?

Create a new plugins folder in wp-content, then move the plugins across to the new folder & activate them one at a time.
