    Try MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.

    Thank you Augustin,
    yes, I did and it took me to my home page. I was still logged in, so I had my admin banner across the top, but I was unable to go back to the dashboard.

    Anyway, it is all resolved now. Below is the response I’ve got from my host tech support:

    I had to restart the memcache on the reampress to get your recent
    wordpress update to complete. It appears to be working properly now and
    you can try logging in now. Sorry for the inconvenience
    .

    I’m experiencing the same situation on one of my sites.

    When you click update you’re redirected to the home page with the wpadminbar at the top. If you click the “Dashboard” menu link you are send to the /wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F again with the same “No Update Required” message (see screen shot link below)

    It’s an unhappy circle…

    Thanks Tomek for including your solution.

    I have SiteGround hosting and I logged into the cPanel and flushed all the caches in their SuperCacher. It worked for me.

    Thanks!

    @juleswebb,
    If the above did not help, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

    I’m glad my post was helpful!

    Cannot access my dashboard – What is the simple way to access dashboard since the 4.3.1 upgrade was done automatically?

    Can I wait for WordPress to fix this?

    Absolutely stuck! Did the upgrade to 4.3.1 Seemed ok. Went to functions.php file to tweak (done this plenty before without problem) – it didn’t like it! Got a parse error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /www/sites/44a/e0d/www.comtruck.co.uk/web/wp-content/themes/dustlandexpress-premium/functions.php on line 320 I clicked the ‘back’ button and removed the tweak. Still the same error message. Now I have NO ACCESS to my dashboard at all. Have upgraded my php to 5.6 with my host (as a forum message suggested this may help) but has made no difference. Website is down. No idea what to do. Time critical! Any advice?
