    Good day folks,

We are using your plugin and we upgraded it to the last upgrade version. Nevertheless we cannot access the dashboard settings on wordpress.

When we go to settings, a window with a “notice” appears preventing the access to the dashboard and settings.

The notice says: “New: Serve images faster with Ultra Smush” with the explanation below of what it does.

By the way, we deactivate/activate the plugin while clearing caches but it didn’t make any difference.

So, what can we do to fix this issue and be able to access the smush dashboard and check/change our settings?

In advance, thank you for your help and interest!

    Hello Adam,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Just to clarify a few things and to end this conversation:

First, we used the free version of your plugin.

Second, there is nothing wrong with our hosting, platform or coding. The last update we made on the plugin was simply faulty.

Sometimes this happens, everybody understand this, but don’t put the blame on us. Take responsibility: Own it.

We are not complaining, but seeking for help while providing feedback. There is a difference.

    Have a good day,

    Hi @copiaurbietorbi

I reviewed this topic reply by reply and it seems we ended up in a loop of Pro feature which never existed on your site and the modal you saw was a marketing modal that existed in Pro and in Free Smush (based on additional tests we have made today with different versions). Taking this into account it really seems that there was something on your site (theme or a plugin conflict) that made the main issue reported by you -> not able to close modal. We apologize for the misunderstanding.

As for the second issue with the Super Smush feature, we can only suggest making a staging site, if you still want to try that feature and make a full conflict test there. Also, it will be good to check browser console errors as soon you try to switch to Super Smush or save settings. This will give more light on what is going on in real.

Once again we apologize for the misunderstanding.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
