Unable to access default DB

  • Hello!

    It seems even the basic connection with the default WP mysql instance might have failed. Just after activation, we tried to test some first SQL statement under “query” menu. NONE of them could provide any output. “0” matching was always returned without any error or warning.

    The same basic test were repeated on various WordPress edition, from 4.3.1 to 4.8.1. We have got the same discouraging result, i.e. nothing could be retried from the default mysql instance. We also double checked the actual mysql tables, which look quite healthy.

    This plugin seems to be very useful. We have been assessing various similar plug-ins for our website. However, such kind of weird problem is too annoying. Could you please help?

    According to the demo given by this tool, we used very basic query statements including the following one –

    select * from wp_users
