Unable to access site from domain name but can using IP

  • Hi,

    I have a website which I built using WordPress and hosted on AWS.
    I was making changes to my wordpress site and for some reason, I have been getting a 503 for a long time now, I cant even access the wordpress dashboard. I dont know what the problem is and I dont know what I did wrong (everything I changed was from the dashboard).
    I realized now that if I access my site using the IP address, I am able to view the pages of my site and also access the dashboard. Can you please tell me what can be the problem and how to remedy this?

  • Try contacting your hosts. Error 503 suggests that they have a problem at their end. In the meantime, what urls are entered in Settings -> General?

    That is the name of the server which I entered during creation, its always been this: https://testgbit.bitnamiapp.com
    also, its greyed out i.e. I cant edit it from the dashboard

    If it is greyed out, then it means that the url was changed via the wp-config.php file at some point in the past. What do you have set for your blog’s front page in Settings -> Reading?
