• Hi,

My site fiddesracing.com went down earlier today and I have been able to get it back up again. We are unable to access the site or login to wp-admin.

I have tried renaming the plugins and themes folders which had no effect.

My web host advised that the issue was as follows:

The issue has to do with the files wp-blog-header.php on line 16 and admin.php on line 33. Please check the script or refer this to your developer for further checking.

But I am unable to find any issues with the above, when I logged into my web hosting panel it was almost out of storage space, so I have also increased this.

    Thanks for your help.

  • If you have cPanel access, then go to file manager option and rename the theme folder currently you were using and in this way any of default theme will be activated and you will able to access the site.
Hope you will get help form this.

    Hi,

I do not have cpanel access, but changing the name of the themes folder in FTP does not work. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

Okay, there is problem is with your core files as your web host advised actually I have not read your whole message previously. In this situation you need to refresh your core files. First of all download a fresh wordpress from wordpress.oeg. Then extract it on your computer and now delete those two files in which your webhost advised “admin.php” and ” wp-blog-header.php” from the server using FTP and now find these files in extracted folder, upload them in the same root folder of your installation.
If it solve your problem then it’s okay otherwise you need to refresh your whole wordpress installation except wp-content folder.
To refresh whole installation just delete whole things in your installed folder except wp-content folder and wp-config file. and upload same things from new wordpress extracted file.
But be careful in this process.
