    Hello everyone,
    I have faced a very critical & fatal error when I just updated Jetpack plugin to 3.4.2

    I got the following message:
    Warning: require_once(D:\Hosting\12136241\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/require-lib.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Hosting\12136241\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\jetpack.php on line 49

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘D:\Hosting\12136241\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/require-lib.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in D:\Hosting\12136241\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\jetpack.php on line 49

    I can no longer login my WP admin page & my website is not accessible. It is: https://marwanwahbi.com

    Can anyone please help? This is a very critical issue. My website is down!

    I will try to transfer the files of the plugin through FTP & check if this resolves the problem. I hope it will.

    Thanks.

    I have transferred the Jetpack plugin files manually thru FTP and it works fine now.

    I wonder what was the reason for this error. And honestly I am afraid to update to 3.4.3

    In that case, it sounds like the server failed midway through an update leaving it half-present. It isn’t anything to do with Jetpack per se, but a server glitch at a bad time or your server killing the process early (which is related to Jetpack only because Jetpack is larger than the average plugin).

    Thank you so much @brandon for your help. It seems you are absolutely right. My host is GoDaddy & honestly, I am recently facing some troubles with regard to this matter.

    Do you suggest any approach to avoid this in the future especially that JetPack 3.4.3 is out now?

    Thanks again.

    The safest way to go about it would be to update manually, via FTP. This way you won’t use the automatic updater and won’t rely on your host’s resources to download and extract a large zip file to update a plugin.

    Thank you @jeremy for your continuous help. Well, I will surely do. I really appreciate JetPack & I consider it very essential.
