I was having trouble with my site and deactivated all plugins one by one. When I attempted to reactivate Clean Talk, it failed to activate my license. I went as far as to remove the domain from my account and then re add it through the plugin on the website. It generated a new key but still the plugin remains inactive on the site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello, @bobmack

Please, re-save the plugin settings with entered access key from your anti-spam dashboard:
    https://cleantalk.org/my?cp_mode=antispam

WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Antispam by CleanTalk —> “Show the access key” line —> delete everything in the field and paste your access key —> Save Changes.

If it doesn’t help, please, let us know your WordPress and PHP versions.

That was easy. Worked like a charm. Thanks for developing such a great plugin.

I spoke too soon. When I remove the key and click save changes it seems to be working but I get a message to enter the key and when I do and click save changes, it deactivates.

Running 7.4 on a vps. What strange is when I remove the key and click save changes, green check marks appear next to all of the features but as soon as I add the key and click save changes it goes back to being deactivated. I even deactivated Wordfence thinking that might be the problem.

All of the sites on my account are on the same server and all are running 7.4

Excuse me, but what version of the WordPress is using?

5.5 Everything on the site is up to date.

Please, install the DEV version of the anti-spam plugin.

    Download link: https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/dev-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip

    Here is an instruction:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refresh find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

    Did it help?

I followed your instructions but I’m still having the same problem.

I’m good to go. When I cleared by cache, the problem was fixed. Thanks for the great support.
